WELCOME TO HY-FIDELITY DANCE DESIGN FOR 2012!
Hi There! Sian Wakefield, Stacy Marlow and Katrina Stark are your Studio Director’s here at Hy-Fidelity Dance Design. We are looking forward to meeting new students and parents and welcoming back existing students for an exciting year for Hy-Fidelity Dance Design.
We hope everyone at our studios joins us for our 5th year of celebrations, we promise it will be a year you won’t want to miss.

Studio Directors
We Sian Wakefield, Stacy Marlow and Katrina Stark have been involved in the dance industry professionally for over 17 years. We have trained in many genres of dance, competing in eisteddfods, completing examinations and so on. We began instructing and have spent many years working with children, which brings us great joy. As your Studio Directors, We look forward to sharing the knowledge we have acquired over the years and guiding every student through their time at HY-FIDELITY DANCE DESIGN on the Gold Coast, thus making their experience one they will remember for a lifetime.
Instructors
We are delighted to welcome back our current Instructors from 2011, Sharni Hughes, Chloe Marlow and Ashleigh Taylor. We are also thrilled to officially welcome Jessica Harte to Hy-Fidelity Dance Design as a dance instructor and cheer coach. Jess has been a student of Hy-Fidelity Dance Design from a very young age. She acquired years of experience as an assistant and went on to become an instructor and coach for us here at Hy-Fidelity Dance Design. Jess is also a syllabus choreographer for Contemporary and Cheer routines. Jess will bring abundant ‘hands on’ experience to the role and is very excited to be able to finally teach with us at Hy-Fidelity Dance Design.
We would also like to welcome Zaide Raffie to our teaching team for 2012. Zaide has been dancing for many years and has competed at many different dance competitions. Zaide will be our boys crew Instructor throughout and is also a syllabus choreographer for Hip Hop routines. Zaide is very eager about 2012 and cannot wait to get teaching.
Instructor Qualifications
All Hy-Fidelity Dance Design Instructors attend regular teaching workshops incorporating the Hy-Fidelity Dance Design syllabus to maintain their qualifications as well as constantly updating dance styles, techniques and levels. Our friendly Instructors are trained to encourage our students to achieve their best, build confidence and get active in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. All of our Instructors are also trained syllabus choreographers.

GST Price Increase
Due to ATO legal obligations Hy-Fidelity Dance Design will have GST applied to all fee’s and prices in 2012. Due to this all fee’s and prices will increase by 10%. All pricing information will be available upon the 2012 dance year commencing.
Class Fees Breakdown - Monthly/Fortnightly or Weekly Payment
Expect to pay (worked out on a weekly basis):
30 min Class p/w – (eg: Lil Rockers) $9.00
45 min & 60 Minute Classes p/w – ( eg: Beg. Beg Jazz & Hip Hop, Jnr & Snr Ballet, Contemporary, Adv Hip Hop & Jazz, Performance Hip Hop & Jazz, Cheer, Adult Hip Hop) $11.00
Elite Team 2 hours p/w - $25.00
COMBOS:
Two or more classes per week (excluding Elite Team) = $20.00
Three classes or more (including Elite Crew) = $28.00 MEMBERSHIP which entitles student to as many classes per week as desired.
Billing System
To make Class time more efficient and professional for our students and their families, Hy-Fidelity Dance Design is now governed by the Professional Payment Systems (PPS) Australian billing company.
For the safety of our Instructors and students we will only accept PPS payments for class fees. However you can pay cash for uniforms, orders and costumes where necessary. Or this can be taken out of your account with your class fees, whichever is more convenient for you!
As part of our team, you are in complete control and can personally chose payment methods that suit your lifestyle and situation; whether it be from a credit or debit account, weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
Our dance classes align with the school year in 2010. With optional ‘catch-up’ classes available during most holidays. This is to maintain productivity in class so all students can learn in a stable and efficient environment. Please keep in mind that class fees will not be reimbursed for missed lessons unless a Doctor’s Certificate is present.
Enrolment Fee
Once our students have been in class for four weeks, we ask that a Membership Fee be paid. This covers all insurance fees. Also included is a copy of the current Hy-Fidelity CD so everyone can practice at home.
Family Prices for membership are:
• $34 for one student
• $50 for two students
• $60 for 3 or more students
Please note to receive the family discount students must be related.
Open classes for 2012
We understand that students always want to do everything at the start of the year and by second class in they have decided a genre is not for them. To make this easier for you we have put on 2(two) weeks of FREE open classes, come check out our different genres, get a feel for our different Instructors and get to know all of our Assistants, choose which one is going to be good for you but do it all before the dance year actually starts up.

Studio Shop
For your convenience we have all the Jazz, Hip Hop and Cheerleading supplies at the studio each week. As Hy-Fidelity Dance Design has over 150 members our buying power allows us to offer our members competitively priced dance gear. Items available include Studio uniform, Training gear for jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet and cheer.
Performances
All Hy-Fidelity Dance Design students are invited to participate in various performances throughout the year. While we encourage students to perform as it builds confidence and is lots of fun, taking part in performances is completely optional.
Awards
Awards are presented throughout the year to honor student of the months for achievement and accomplishments.
Child Risk Management Policy
The Hy-Fidelity Dance Design organization is committed to the wellbeing and safety of all children and young people who use our services. Our CHILD RISK MANAGEMENT POLICY is available for viewing at the reception desk of each studio.
Annual Events
Displays - these are shows performed at shopping centre’s, fetes and local events.
Inter Studio Student Choreography Competition - is an opportunity for students to enter a competition, to create and perform their own routine. Prizes are awarded for various achievements.
Concert - is the end of year spectacular where the students perform all of the year’s dances in a dazzling stage show in a large venue with stunning lighting effects, and costumes.
Name your Belongings
Please ensure that you have all your Childs belongings named, as it is very difficult finding a home for things left behind at class and displays if they are unnamed. Please see reception for any missing belongings.

HY-FIDELITY DANCE DESIGN MEMBERSHIP RULES
1. ENROLMENT FEES
The Student Enrolment Fee including Personal Accident Insurance is due on the 4th week of class. Students must be an enrolled student and attend class to take part in studio events. The enrolment fee is not refundable, and is payable at the beginning of each year.
2. ENROLMENT CONDITIONS
Hy-Fidelity Dance Design reserves the right to rescind membership under the following conditions:
(I) Rude aggressive behaviour or use of offensive language from a student or parent.
(ii) Non-compliance with stated studio rules by either a student or parent.
3. STUDENT SAFETY
• Parents/Carers are to convey the participant safely to and from the front door of the venue and acknowledge that Hy-Fidelity Dance Design employees will only supervise the participant whilst in the confines of the class room in
which the dance or class instruction is taking place. The parent holds sole responsibility for the participant’s safety whilst waiting outside the classroom.
• Participants are to arrive at class 10 minutes prior to start time to check in. Parents/carers may wait at class in the designated waiting area.
• Participants are to be collected from class immediately following the end of their class. If this is not possible, a prior arrangement must be made with the Studio Receptionist and the student is to remain in the classroom or waiting area until the parent/carer arrives to collect them.
• Participants are not permitted to wait in the car park unless written permission has been received from the parent/carer and the child is over 16yrs of age.
• Custody arrangements that will impact the drop off and collection of children must be provided in writing to the studio. The enrolment form provides an area for this information.
• Participants are to follow the directions of their Instructor throughout their class.
• All injuries and illnesses must be reported to the Instructor prior to participating in the class.
• Injuries that require a Doctor's/medical practitioner intervention must be reported to the Instructor. If the participant is advised to stop exercise whilst they recover from an injury, a medical clearance must be obtained before they will be permitted to resume attendance at class.
4. DRESS
The studio uniform should be worn for class and is required to be worn to all performances. Suitable dance footwear is required for classes ie. Dance class requires Jazz shoes, Hip Hop class requires hip hop shoes, Ballet class requires Ballet shoes and cheer class requires cheer shoes.
5. DRINKING WATER
Ensure you bring water to class to drink during class to maintain adequate hydration for the body.
